The final instalment from our Welsh Tour in partnership with ‪@FootJoy‬ It’s been a blast visiting some of the best Wales has to offer, and Pennard with the sun poking its head out for the last hole was a fitting ending to a magical trip. Pennard, for those that have not heard anything about it, is one of the lost extraordinary courses you can see. A landscape not dissimilar to the moon. A huge thanks to the club for allowing us to make this. It’s been a huge privilege. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=383iQ_4QO_M

Tenby Golf Club – Wales Tour 2024

2024-08-16T10:56:26+00:00August 16th, 2024|Video|

Tenby Golf Club holds a distinctive place in the history of Welsh golf, conceived by the renowned James Braid, a five-time British Open Champion, evolved to feature 18 holes in 1907. It also played a crucial role as a founding member of the Welsh Golfing Union. When we arrived at 11pm to total darkness and saw the recently refurbed accomodation, and all the trappings of luxurious staycations we didn't quite know what to expect from Tenby - perhaps worrying that they prioritised the off-course aspects over the links itself. Aberdovey – Wales Tour 2024

2024-08-16T10:55:20+00:00August 16th, 2024|Video|

Golf has been played at Aberdovey since 1892 when a rudimentary version of the game was played to flower pots, borrowed from a local house out in the links. One of its then members was none other than Bernard Darwin, the greatest golf correspondant of all time who wrote extensively about the game, and where Aberdovey held a special place in his heart. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7W714SoKBE8&t=28s

Borth & Ynyslas – Wales Tour 2024

2024-08-16T10:53:01+00:00August 16th, 2024|Video|

This magical club across the estuary from its more famous neighbour - Aberdovey - is often overlooked, but loved by all who visit. Borth is a charming out and back links, a series of holes bisected by the road as you head into the town, with the holes in the dunes out of sight until you turn the corner on the 5th hole, a par 5, at which point they reveal themselves. We loved spending time here, and urge anyone travelling through this part of Wales to make the pilgrimage! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3qWPYZsb15g
