We use the chance to go through the record books and look at the career of The Golden Bear more closely and establish if he is the true GOAT (as well as some obligatory Bryson remarks which we couldn’t walk past)!

From the ban on the game by James II, all the way to the new age designs we enjoy today, we get together to try and piece together the history of golf course architecture from the beginning. As long time fans of great courses, with next to no prior knowledge we each take an era, research like mad, and try to find out why the trademarks of those era’s are so different!
