Employee #1: Content & Production Assistant

Base Location: Birmingham / West Midlands (ability to travel to Midlands on an infrequent basis when required as well as working from home / remotely)

We are looking for a talented and well rounded individual to join Cookie Jar Golf. Put simply, as employee No.1 this lucky person will work across all areas of Cookie Jar Golf to help support, improve and grow. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Scheduling and management of content across agency clients and CJG channels
  • Planning and administration across all projects including; merchandise, events, podcast, film series, tours and other projects
  • Supporting with research and content planning
  • Management of communications and editorial
  • Working with 3rd parties and content clients directly 
  • Content production

This role will suit someone who is deeply passionate about a career in golf and golf media / marketing, and is able to translate high level objectives into tangible action plans, supporting a wide range of projects through to their conclusion. The successful candidate will work with our agency clients, as well as supporting with Cookie Jar branded content production and planning. 

The successful candidate must have;

  • Deep passion for golf and an understanding of the industry, specifically course architecture, golf history, as well as the professional and amateur game 
  • An ability to learn new skills quickly and solve problems
  • Be comfortable with new technology, acquiring new skills and developing them to an expert level
  • Self-motivated, able to think fast and takes ownership for projects
  • Proactively wants to develop a career in media and content production
  • Passion to research and willing to go deeper on key topics
  • Full & clean driving license / valid passport and able to travel
  • Familiarity using camera equipment

Additional technical skills that are of benefit;

  • Photography: ability to shoot, as well as use tools like Lightroom to edit images to required specification
  • Videography: knowledge and ability to use video editing software e.g. Final Cut Pro, as well as sound / audio editing
  • Experience working with full suite of social media platforms, able to manage multiple social media accounts, as well CRM and social media scheduling software
  • Editorial skills and able to write engaging long-form written content 
  • Elite lag putting skills
